So, as you can see, 2015 could be known as the year of the skyscrapers but it may eventually lose that title to 2019,  the year that the Kingdom Tower is set to be completed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be much taller than the Burj Khalifah in Dubai, which currently stands as the world’s tallest building, and construction on the Kingdom Tower began in April 2013.This mega-skyscraper will be the first human made structure to reach the 1km height mark, equal to about 0.6 miles. The truth is, that the exact height is being kept a secret, developers have only said it will be taller than a kilometer. To put that in perspective, it would take the average person over 13 minutes just to walk the length of the building, and a much, much longer time to climb all those stairs. One World Trade Center in New York City, but 2015 will be mark the completion of an even bigger building and many other huge skyscrapers.  It will be amazing to see their completion, some of them in fast developing cities in Asia and the Middle East.
