Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four  width=

There was thick smoke and flames visible from a second floor apartment in Seattle according to the Fire Department. The fire forced the evacuation of the entire building but damage was limited to the one apartment. There were no injuries and one family was displaced.  

Smoke from Car Fire Causes Evacuation of Whittier Apartment Building

A car fire in the underground parking garage of a senior-living high-rise apartment building, prompted the evacuation of dozens of people while firefighters cleared the air. The smoke rose throughout the 10 story building but firefighters were able to evacuate everyone safely.

Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four wales

A woman in Wales broke her back jumping from a window to escape a fire which ripped through her flat and now has to spend months in hospital.  Charlene Sutton, told reporters that she woke up her boyfriend when she discovered the apartment was full of smoke and told him they couldn't use the door because that's where the fire was coming from. They both jumped from the window and Charlene is now on the long road to recovery

One person is dead after a fire ripped through an apartment building in Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County. Responders found an intense fire in the first and second floor apartments, though the first floor apartment was empty.

Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four windsor-fire-and-rescue-truck

A small fire broke out on the 9th floor of a highrise apartment building in downtown Windsor Sunday night. The fire department says one person suffered non-life-threatening burns to the upper body.

One Dead Following Apartment Fire in Lansing, Michigan

A fire broke out on one of the top floors of the six story building  and  residents immediately noticed a large amount of smoke. Police and firefighters worked to evacuate about 100 elderly residents and some visitors out of the complex, and into safety. One woman in her mid-60’s was taken to the hospital but later died from her injuries

Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four bronx+fire12

Three firefighters and 15 civilians were injured in a fire at a high-rise building in the Bronx, fire officials said. Two of the hurt civilians had serious injuries but were expected to survive; all three injured firefighters were expected to recover and the injuries to the other victims were considered minor.

 

Man Killed in Cass County Fire; Stepson Escapes Burning Home Through Bedroom Window

A man jumped out of his second-floor bedroom window to escape a fire in his Garden City home. However, inside the home the man's stepfather became trapped and was killed in the blaze.

 

9 Injured by Burns, Smoke Inhalation, Jumping out Window During California Condo Fire

A fire tore through an apartment building where there were no working smoke alarms, forcing a woman to lower her children out of a window before jumping out herself. The woman lowered her 2-year-old and 3-year-old daughters out a window onto a mattress set up by neighbors in the alley below, and then jumped after them.

 

Fire Traps Woman in Marine Drive flat, she is Rescued by SCDF

A fire broke out in the living room of an apartment on the 11th floor of a Singapore high-rise trapping one resident inside. The resident was carried out by rescuers and treated at the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four 'Small fire' at Fitness First's Marina Bay Financial Centre outlet

A fire broke out at health club located on the 16th floor of a Singapore high-rise. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call regarding the "small fire", which originated in the women's sauna area and involved a heating element. The fire was already extinguished by the  sprinkler system prior to the SCDF's arrival. About 40 people were self-evacuated and no one was injured in the incident.

Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four Fatal Fire Flatbush Avenue

There was no way out for a Brooklyn man who was forced to leap out of a fourth story window to escape a fire. The victim could not reach the fire escape and was left with no other option. Seven others were injured in the accidental Prospect Heights blaze, including the victim’s wife, who remained in critical condition.

Woman Suffers Burns; Escapes Through Window after House Catches Fire in Hampton

A woman is in the hospital suffering from burns to her face after she escaped from a house fire in Hampton by jumping out her window. Firefighters arrived and found the woman in the driveway being assisted by neighbors, Battalion Chief Mick Barilla said. Barilla said medics treated the woman for burns to her face, as well as inhalation burns to her mouth.

Firefighters battled a huge fire at a New Jersey apartment complex that sent flames sky high and smoke visible from New York City across the Hudson River. Authorities said everyone in the four-story building apparently was able to get out safely. Residents were ordered to evacuate and were led to a nearby school and many residents, including Yankees announcer John Sterling, wondered what would be left of their homes.

Sapulpa Family Escapes Through Window as Fire Rips Through Home

A pregnant woman and a toddler were transported to a hospital after they escaped a fire that destroyed a Sapulpa home. Seven people, including three children, lived in the home and were able to escape through a bedroom window while the fire spread through the residence.

Apartment Fire in Seattle Displaces Family of Four  A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a six-story building at 565 W. 144th St. on Jan. 23, 2015.

Residents scrambled out windows to escape an apartment fire that broke out in Harlem, sending eight people to the hospital. The blaze erupted on the fourth floor of the six-story building with 60 firefighters responding to bring the fire under control. One eyewitness said he saw two residents climbing out of a fourth-floor window onto a balcony about 10 feet below. Officials said eight people, including three firefighters, were brought to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries like smoke inhalation, bumps and bruises.

Apartment Fire in Ottawa Forces 1 Out

An apartment fire in Ottawa caused a full evacuation of the 20 unit, 3 story building. Firefighters entered the scene to find heavy smoke and flames that had been quickly spreading throughout the building. The flames were eventually extinguished and all but one person were able to return home.

A fire on the roof of Ireland's tallest building was caused by an electrical fault in high voltage cabling. Residents were evacuated from the top 10 floors of the landmark city center building. Lenny Entwistle, a group commander with the Fire and Rescue Service, said it was a complex operation, "In any fire in a building of that size it is difficult for us to establish a fire-fighting platform," he said.
