Many famous people, celebrities and others, have advocated for prepping and have spoken of the importance of being ready for any disaster situation. For example:

Benjamin Franklin once said “Failure to prepare is preparing to fail.” Confucius is known to have said, “Plan ahead or find trouble on the doorstep.” And John F. Kennedy said in his 1962 State of the Union Address that, “The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.”

In addition to these wise leaders, some celebrities have also advocated prepping and have admitted to being a prepper themselves. Maybe the best example is Zooey Deschanel who you may know from New Girl. Zooey went on Conan and discussed how she is, “generally a prepared person,” and she assesses all exits when entering a new room or situation.

Nathan Fillion, star of the TV show Castle also spoke about being a prepper on Conan. On the segment, Nathan admits that, “One of my hobbies is zombie apocalypse preparedness.” In order to best prepare for the zombie apocalypse, Nathan has taken up welding so he that can fortify an SUV if people need to get around safely.

Finally, actress Jamie Lee Curtis teamed up with the American Red Cross to discuss the importance of being prepared for earthquakes. In the video below, she advocates for having an earthquake kit and says that she personally prefers, “mobile emergency kits.”
